2022 Events

Mingle on Main - Saxonburg's 2022 Mingle on Main Street fair will be held on May 19, June 16, July 21, August 18, & September 15 from 5:30 p.m. - 8:30 p.m. Main Street will close to vehicle traffic from Pittsburgh Street to the Presbyterian Church starting at 4:30 p.m. See our Mingle on Main page for details, updates, & vendor sign-up info!

Family Fun Night - Hosted by Rep. Marci Mustello, this Family Fun Night will take place at the Butler Farm Show Grounds, 625 Evans City Road, Butler, from 5-8 p.m. on August 16. Flyer here

Meet & Greet with German Consul General David Gill at the August 18 Mingle - A Meet & Greet reception in honor of Consul General Gill's visit to Saxonburg will take place during the Mingle at the Community Library Patio on August 18 from 5:30 - 7:30 p.m. Everyone is invited to stop by! Flyer here

Knoch School District Renaming Festival - The District Renaming Festival will be held on August 24 form 5-7 p.m. at Knoch High School. The event will celebrate the name change from South Butler School District to Knoch School District, and will include student musical performances, youth organization vendors tables with foods and spirit items, a bounce house, and more! The first day of school is August 25.

Main Street Parade September 8 - Presented by the Saxonburg Area Business Association, this parade will kick off the Octoberfest & Festival of the Arts weekend. The parade will take place on Main Street from 6 to 8 p.m. on Thursday, September 8.

AG Breakfast Hosted by Rep. Marci Mustello -This breakfast will take place at the American Legion Post 778 (150 Memorial Drive, Butler) on September 9 from 9-11 a.m. The Guest Speaker is the Secretary of Agriculture Russell Redding. There is no cost to attend, but registration is required at RepMustello.com/events or by calling 724-283-5852. Registration deadline is September 1.  Flyer here

Sprankle's Octoberfest 2022 - Sprankle's Octoberfest will be held Friday through Sunday, September 9, 10, & 11 at the Saxonburg Volunteer Fire Company's Carnival grounds. This annual celebration is rich in history, and includes local vendors, sponsors, and musicians. More info available at spranklesoctoberfest.com

Saxonburg's Festival of the Arts - Saxonburg's Arts Festival will take place Saturday and Sunday, September 10 & 11 in Roebling Park, Cooper Hall, and on Main Street. Details and vendor information can be found on our Festival page

Saxonburg Fireman's Sportsman's Fest - Saxonburg Volunteer Fire Company's 19th Annual Sportsman's Fest will take place on September 17 from noon to 7 p.m. For tickets, booster tickets, or more information, please contact the Fire Company at 724-352-3300 or visit: www.svfc.com/

Booktoberfest - This fundraising event for the South Butler Community Library is traditionally held on October 2 at Cooper Hall. More details to come!

Saxonburg Volunteer Fire Company - Fish & Chicken Dinners happen every Wednesday in October.  See www.svfc.com for more info!

Halloween - Door-to-door trick-or-treat in Saxonburg Borough takes place annually on October 31 from 6-8 p.m.

Veteran's Luncheon - Rep. Marci Mustello is hosting her annual Veteran's Luncheon on Wednesday, November 2 from 11:30 to 1 p.m. at the Lyndora American Legion Post 778 (150 Legion Memorial Lane, Butler). Beergiving - Food, beer, local craft vendors, & live music in the Sprankle's parking lot on Wednesday before Thanksgiving. 

Annual Holiday Parade - Sponsored by Saxonburg Area Business Association, this Main Street parade kicks off the holiday season. 

"Stuff the Cruiser" Toy Drive - Annual toy donation where Saxonburg stuffs the police cruiser full of toys!

Butler Health Systems Food Institute - The Food Institute provides classes on diet, nutrition, and the connection between nutrients and chronic conditions. Through collaboration between Saxonburg Mayor Bill Gillespie and the South Butler Community Library, the Library will register for any class you like and will project it on their wall for individuals or groups.

Christmas Market - Visit Main Street in December for your holiday shopping!

2023 Events

Mardi Gras at Hotel Saxonburg - Hotel Saxonburg's annual Mardi Gras celebration includes a New Orleans inspired menu, King cake, carriage rides, and more. 

Winterfest - Winterfest is an afternoon of outdoor food, arts, crafts, events, and warming stations in Saxonburg. Organized by Blue Jar Candle Co. Mercantile together with community and business representatives, the first ever Winterfest took place in 2022 and we hope it becomes an annual event. 

Roebling Park Community Clean Up Day - This neighborly Park clean up day is scheduled in the spring. Everyone is welcome to bring a rake and come help pick up sticks & the previous year's leaves. Thank you to the Saxonburg Area Rotary Club and everyone who helped to make the 2022 Clean Up such a success!

Easter Egg Hunt - Date TBD.

Primary Elections - Primary Election Day is in May. Saxonburg's elections take place at Cooper Hall in Roebling Park, 199 N. Rebecca Street. 

Memorial Day Parade - The Annual Memorial Day Parade takes place on Main Street on Memorial Day starting at 10:30 a.m. The procession ends at Roebling Park where the traditional ceremony takes place.

Fireman's Carnival - Dates TBD.

Pet Parade - Date TBD.

July 3 Fireworks - Presented to Saxonburg by New Life Christian Ministries in conjunction with the Saxonburg Volunteer Fire Company. Thank you for a spectacular show!

Sprankle's Pre-Mingle - Sprankle's hosted pre-Mingle parties in their parking lot from noon to 6 p.m. on the following Saturdays: May 14, June 11, July 16,  & August 13. 

Food Truck Festival - The Saxonburg Volunteer Fire Company hosts Food Truck Festivals periodically on their Carnival Grounds. Dates to be determined.
