Butler Health Systems Food Institute - The newly established Food Institute's programming includes classes on diet, nutrition, and the connection between nutrients and chronic conditions. Please see the 2021 Class Schedule. Through collaboration between Saxonburg Mayor Bill Gillespie and the South Butler Community Library, the Library will register for any class you like and will project it on their wall for individuals or groups. Saxonburg Volunteer Fire Company - Fish & Chicken Dinners are back, from 4-6:30 p.m. every Wednesday in October. Takeout only, $13 per dinner. Call after 2 on Wednesdays to order: 724-352-9948. Oysters will be available Oct 20 & Oct 27. See www.svfc.com for more info!

Halloween - Door-to-door trick or treating in Saxonburg Borough will take place on Sunday, October 31 from 6-8 p.m.

Booktoberfest - This major fundraising event for the South Butler Community Library will be held Sunday, October 24 from 4-7 p.m. at the Saxonburg Fire Hall. This community event celebrates German heritage and features music by Barons-Lite German Band, a German dinner by The Eatery, and libations by Cellar Brew Works Brewing. Single tickets are $40 and Couple tickets are $75. Tickets include an alcoholic drink per person, followed by a cash bar. Veteran's Luncheon - Join Rep. Marci Mustello on Wednesday, November 3 from 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. at Lyndora American Legion Post 778 (150 Legion Memorial Lane, Butler). Guest speaker will be Mayor Jondavid R. Longo, U.S. Marine Corps. The event is open to all Butler County veterans and a guest. There is no charge to attend the luncheon, but you must register: RSVP by Oct. 28 via phone at 724-283-5852 or online at www.RepMustello.com/events .

Saxonburg Songwriter Showcase - This fundraising event will take place on Friday, November 5 starting at 7 p.m. at Cooper Hall (195 N. Rebecca Street in Saxonburg). The showcase features local songwriters: Amanda Noah, Cook McKoy, Tom Panei, and Dave Zaccari, and will be hosted by Bob Cupp of Rock Station FM 97.7. Libations and refreshments will be by local Conny Creek Brewing Co., and a Penny Social auction will take place for a chance to win baskets donated by local businesses. Doors open at 6 p.m.; the show starts at 7 p.m. Advance tickets are $20 available through eventbright  here; Tickets at the door $25. Net proceeds from ticket sales support Roebling Park, the Saxonburg Museum, and Cooper Hall.

Annual Holiday Parade - Sponsored by Saxonburg Area Business Association, this Main Street parade kicks off the holiday season. The parade will take place on Friday, November 26 at 7 p.m.

"Stuff the Cruiser" Toy Drive - Annual toy donation where Saxonburg stuffs the police cruiser full of toys! The dates for the 2021 toy drive will be determined.

Christmas Market - Visit Main Street in December for your holiday shopping.

Roebling Park Community Service Day  - Thank you to everyone who helped with the 2021 Community Clean Up of Roebling Park on Saturday, including friends, neighbors, Saxonburg Area Rotary, and Borough Council! And special thanks to the businesses who donated sustenance: Sprankle’s for the donuts, Novotny’s Pizza for lunch, and the Smoke Shoppe for bottled water! We couldn't have done it without you!!

Food Truck Festival - The Saxonburg Volunteer Fire Company is hosting a Food Truck Festival on their Carnival Grounds on [dates to be determined]. 

Memorial Day Parade - The Annual Memorial Day Parade activities will be determined.

Mingle on Main - Saxonburg's Mingle on Main Street fair is held on the third Thursday of May, June, July, August, & September from 5:30 p.m. - 8:30 p.m. Main Street will close to vehicle traffic from Pittsburgh Street to the Presbyterian Church at 4:30 p.m.
